R & R

The Bell Tower Hotel. Our home for the week at the University of Michigan.

Chuck and I have spent this past week in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Chuck is attending a Sports Management Institute and I am VACATIONING! I told Casey today that I am more relaxed right now than I have been in a long time. So relaxed and pampered in fact that I drove a couple of miles in a bicycle lane today and locked my keys in my car. My husband thinks that his smartest decision in our marriage was getting AAA. I use it frequently. However, thanks to AAA, locking my keys in my car in Michigan in the middle of a ferocious thunderstorm was not a major issue. The tow-truck guy even let me sit in his truck while he unlocked the car so I wouldn't get wet!

Today it was 85 degrees. I had three people tell me to "be sure and stay cool today...it's a scorcher!" My response was a kind smile, but my mind was thinking, "Are you kidding me?" They have no idea.

Back to relaxing...let me share with you my idea of some R&R. I have read 4 books, watched 2 movies (By the way, I found a Dollar Theater and thought I hit the jackpot, BUT the coke and popcorn cost me $9.00!), read the paper, slept until 9:00, watched daytime TV, and much more. It's been lovely! Chuck and I will start home tomorrow afternoon. We plan to take our time as we mosey (is that a real word) through about 1000 miles of sweet USA!
