Five Months

Our precious baby girl was five months on December 14th. She is growing so perfectly, wonderfully, and beautifully. This month she celebrated her first Thanksgiving and in a very non-traditional, yet memorable way. Chuck woke up about 4 AM and said, " Megan, I think I've got a kidney stone.". He said the look I gave him was a little scary. Anyway we headed to the emergency room and Callie and I spent most of Thanksgiving in our jammies and Chuck passed out on pain meds. Somewhere in there we got to see lots of family had a great time. Callie also went to her first basketball game and she sat in Chucks lap, mesmerized. They really had a "moment" as they watched their first basketball game together. We went Christmas shopping in Atlanta with Reesie and Callie sat in Santa's lap like she'd been doing it all her life.

Her hair keeps getting lighter and her eyes have stayed blue. Even still...most people say she looks just like her daddy.

Callie, your smile is contagious. Anywhere we go, I have to plan some extra minutes because everyone wants to talk to you. I pray that your face is radiant with Jesus for years and years to come and that your smile will always draw people because of the joy you have.
