I'm such a poor blogger and I'm really sorry in case there's anyone out there that counts on my blog to keep up with this sweet thing! These are NINE MONTH pictures that were taken sometime around April 14! So late!!! Oh well!
Miss Callie doesn't like to sit still for a picture right now!
I think our biggest accomplishment for this month is teeth...they finally started peeking in and they kept on coming!!! I don't think Callie is the most graceful teether out there...but she's been such a trooper! I can't imagine the pain!
One other major discovery this month is our little girl's allergies. We were seeing lots of reactions as we began introducing new foods. Our pediatrician referred us to an allergist and after seeing the allergist and having some tests done, we found out that Callie has a contact allergy to oat, meaning she breaks out in a rash whenever she comes in contact with it, and she has a much more serious allergy to cow's milk, meaning we now carry an epi pen. This has been interesting, as the Mommy in me has been working to find the balance of caution and not going crazy overboard! The hardest time is when she is in the nursery...I'm so afraid she will pick up someone's cup of milk or find a goldfish on the floor. Right now, she's in the baby room where there aren't any snacks or cups, so we'll just keep taking it a day/week at a time.
She continues to be such a blessing! I promise, I've never had so much fun in my life!
If I'm remembering correctly :), she weighed about 18 lbs, and was 26 inches long at her appointment. Callie says "da-da" and "bye-bye" and an occassional "ma-ma." She nurses four times a day and eats fruit and veggies for breakfast, lunch, and supper. She normally takes two good naps and plays hard in between! What a joy!
