"These are a few of my favorite things..."

If you know me well, you know that I get excited pretty easily. So I thought that a tribute to some of my favorite things in life would be an appropriate and fun post.

Let's get started!!

1) CHACOS!!! For those of you who are lovers of Chacos, you will understand my compelling desire to honor them. I think we should have a National Chaco Day. Mama purchased our first pair about 9 years ago on the weekend that I moved to Samford. Mama, that was definitely one of your best shoe purchases. I got a new pair last summer, and they are just now (in the last month or so) feeling like they belong to me.

A Tribute to CHACOS

Oh dear chacos, how precious you are to me.
You've brought me comfort and delight that I could not forsee.
Your handsome colors, your perfect fit and feel,
Have made you my favorite footwear...you are the real deal!
As I wake in the morning and as I sleep at night,
I have confidence in the divinity of this shoe, so good and right.
Join me one and all, in honor of the shoe that cradles your foot like a taco.
Hail to thee our beloved Chaco!

2) The Movies!!! My husband says that he has it "easy" when it comes to making me happy. All he has to do is take me to the movies, buy me a tub of popcorn and a coke, and then walk me into any theater. I don't care what we're watching! I just like the movies!

Recent Movies I've Seen in the Theater:

  • Fireproof (Excellent)
  • Indiana Jones (Great until the end)
  • Mama Mia (Excellent once I got over Pierce Brosnan singing. No man that loves James Bond should see this movie...you would be heartbroken)

Movies I Want to See Soon in the Theater:

  • Nights in Rodanthe (A girl's night with Gran)
  • The Express (Not sure...has anyone seen it?)
  • High School Musical III (I teach Elementary School...I have to be into this stuff!)

This is definitely my favorite part

3)McAlister's!!! A great asset to any town! Favorite Menu Item: Country Potato Soup in a Bread Bowl and a large Sweet Tea (NO lemon).
