Alabama Drama Part III

Please pray for Lou.

Lou is my 10 year old Honda Passport. I got her when I headed off to Samford many moons ago. She is in "the shop" for the 3rd or 4th week (I've lost count) in the last few months. She's had some engine damage, so she got a new engine. Then she had more engine issues, so she's getting her new engine worked on. Lou is a precious member of our family...and a paid for member of our family. We really need her to keep kicking for a little longer. We'll visit her on Monday...pray she's ready to come home!

Lou has also had some cosmetic damage. Get ready...this is a good story. After Christmas, I decided to splurge and get a car wash. There was this place in Valdosta on Gornto where I could get a really great wash for Lou, for a really great price. No such place here in Troy. So while in Montgomery one day, I stopped for a car wash. I think I paid $12 for a drive thru wash, and then planned to vacuum myself. The drive-thru part was really nice...you know the kind where the guys scrub your windshield and tires before you go through? About halfway through the wash (like in the machine), I heard three really loud bumps and then saw a guy's face go by my window and then disappear. This is all seeming quite odd to me and then the wash stops. I sit there wondering what in the world I've gotten myself into and even text Chuck "I'm stuck in a car wash." It starts back up and as soon as I get out, the guy who's face I saw appears and tells me that a hose busted while I was in the wash. It hit my car several times and when he tried to grab it, he got tangled in it and fell. He was scared silly! Oh my! Only me! I got out to look at the damage and I have three new dents on the passenger side of the car. Chuck and I decided that they weren't major enough to put more money into the car, so I got a "detail car wash" and a gift card for another one! What a day!

Please pray for Lou.

P.S. You know what stinks about having your computer stolen??? You lose ALL your pictures! I wanted to give you a visual of Lou...oh well!
